Mariel Hemingway, Travelers Advantage In Starring Marketing Role

NORWALK, Conn. - Aug. 7, 2007 - A famous movie star, TV actress, producer and best-selling author has joined a leading national travel company to shine the spotlight on travel trends, destinations and style.

Oscar-nominated Mariel Hemingway, granddaughter of illustrious author Earnest Hemingway, who has starred in 30 films and made numerous TV appearances, has partnered with Affinion Group as a celebrity spokesperson for the group's Travelers Advantage travel company.

Under the agreement, Travelers Advantage has launched a series of monthly news releases and columns called "Travels With Hemingway," to promote travel, treks and exciting vacations.

"As a movie star, actress and author, my career has taken me to exotic destinations around the world," Hemingway said. "Together with Travelers Advantage, we will journey the globe to bring you the most exciting, inspiring and exhilarating travel excursions. I'm eager to share my favorite spots, travel tips and perspectives."

Hemingway was always destined to be well-known and publicly recognized, and at the young age of 13, she became famous in her own right when she made her silver screen debut in "Lipstick." Four years later her work in Woody Allen's "Manhattan" earned her an Oscar nomination.

Now at the age of 45, Hemingway is a wife and mother of two, Dree 19 and Langley 17. Over the last 22 years, she has also pursued her passion for yoga and health and is now a voice of holistic and balanced living. As part of that role, she has lead wellness retreats all over America, sharing her insights about yoga, meditation, nutrition, and home. Hemingway's second book called "Mariel Hemingway's Healthy Living from the Inside Out," a how-to guide to finding one's balance and health, was released earlier this year. Additionally she is producing her grandfather's epic best-seller "A Moveable Feast," a set of memoirs of his experiences in 1920s Paris, for film.

"We are thrilled about our new relationship with Mariel Hemingway and sailing to new levels in travel adventure with this famous icon of the silver screen," said Leslie Downey, director of Travelers Advantage and TravelersAdvantage.com. "Together we are destined for a blockbuster hit in the travel industry."
