Affinion Group Launches Bi-lingual Version of Hot-Line

Leading-edge card protection service fights ID theft for growing Hispanic population
Hot-Line, a leader in identity theft and credit card protection for more than 35 years, has launched a Hispanic version of its popular fraud protection and security service.

Hot-Line, which protects more than 20 million consumers from the consequences of loss, theft and fraudulent use of credit cards, was launched in 1969. The new bi-lingual service offers:

The Hispanic population is the fastest growing population in the U.S. - constituting one-seventh of all the people in the country - and accounts for half of the 2.9 million population growth over the past several years, according to the Census Bureau. There are an estimated 41.3 million Hispanics in the U.S., according to the Bureau.

"Identity theft is the fastest growing crime in America, and so too is the Hispanic population - this new version of Hot-Line is a real win-win solution," said Frank W. Abagnale, a former master forger and leading fraud prevention expert. "Its proven track record as a leader in the card protection industry helps thwart ID theft while protecting the emerging Hispanic marketplace."

Additional Hot-Line benefits include such travel services as emergency message relay - which allows you to call a toll-free number in an emergency while traveling to alert three people about the situation - and a travel message service that provides information to all the important people you know via a toll-free number. The service also includes time and money-saving benefits such as DateMinder, that alerts you monthly about important dates so you will never miss birthdays, anniversaries or other important events; sale price protection so you will never miss a sale - if an item goes on sale within 60 days of your purchase, you will be refunded the difference; and return guarantee protection that allows you a refund of most purchases you make.
