Affinion Group Executive Named to Prestigious Connecticut List

Executive Vice President Lorien Saumier Awarded Recognition in Connecticut Magazine’s 40-under-40 Edition

STAMFORD, Conn - March 1, 2011 -Affinion Group, a global leader in customer engagement solutions that enhance and extend the relationship and loyalty of millions of consumers of financial service, retail, hospitality and e-commerce companies, today announced that the company’s Executive Vice President of Marketing, Lorien Saumier, has been recognized by Connecticut Magazine as one of Connecticut’s young executives to watch, in their 40-under-40 edition.

In her role with Affinion, Ms. Saumier is on the front line for more than 5,000 brand and loyalty campaigns that the company conducts each year for its marketing partners. She leads an organization of more than 150 professionals and is directly responsible for the creative design, strategy and execution for more than a quarter of a billion dollars in marketing investment each year.

“We’re extremely proud of Lorien’s accomplishments with Affinion, and today’s recognition is well deserved,” said Nathaniel Lipman, CEO of Affinion. “In addition, this award is a testament to our entire company that we’re able to both attract and retain high quality employees.”

Nearly a life-long resident of Connecticut, Ms. Saumier was educated through the Connecticut school system since kindergarten.  She began working at Affinion in sales functions, and quickly progressed to areas of increasing responsibility, eventually assuming the day-to-day management for some of the firm’s largest and most strategic accounts.  Prior to her current responsibilities, she also spent periods of time in product management and marketing strategy.

“Last year, I joined Affinion because I saw firsthand how many talented and creative individuals were working hard every day to deliver customer engagement and loyalty solutions to our clients,” said Lloyd Wirshba, CEO of Affinion Group, North America. “With this well-deserved recognition for Lorien, I’m pleased to see those perceptions validated by an outside party.”

Ms. Saumier balances out the many accomplishments in her professional life with a very active role in her community as well.  For several years now, she has co-chaired a literacy drive for the elementary school in her community, raising tens of thousands of dollars and providing thousands of books to elementary-age children through these efforts.  She also has accepted a leadership role in her synagogue, Temple B’Nai Chaim, having been invited to participate in the ritual committee.  She has also served as a mentor to a number of young women, helping to guide their development as successful professionals.
